The Bleckley County Board of Education and Communities In Schools of Cochran/Bleckley County and Family Connection Community Partnership, Inc. received funding for the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant (21st CCLC) from the State Department of Education every year since 2006 for a total of 8 years.  We applied for a new funding in FY15 and received the award to serve 180 students in grades K-8 beginning FY16 for an additional 5 years through 2021.  In 2020 we have applied for Renewability Grant, currently we are awaiting for approval.

The 21st Century Community Learning Center model includes a variety of activities for students in grades K-2 and grades 3-8 such as academic tutorial in math and language arts as well as science and social studies, homework assistance, art, enrichment and recreation.  The center also provided a number of summer activities for the students as well as opportunities for parental involvement and engagement each month throughout the year.

The students are served a light meal and begin a rotation of tutorial assistance, homework completion, art & enrichment activities and recreation.

Summer Camp for 2020 has been cancelled.  Please look for camp in 2021
